I know, I know, but it will open up so much more potential.

With decent intercooling/chargecooling, even without cams or headwork you could run more boost (say 20+) and get tremendous low end torque on a standard engine....

With 280 odd bhp being the upper limit of the manifold arrangement, it would be nice to get close to that on standard internals to keep the original driveability and response, abeit just using a bit more boost..

....but then our clutches will slip, and our primary shafts will shnap..!

.....maybe not..

..as best as I can.....

One half of me says make it as a plug in unit (if completely possible) for ease of fitment, and the other side of me says 'whoever goes to the lenghts of standalone management is going to be pretty serious about tuning' and thus I think it should warrant a brand new bespoke loom.

The last thing you need is 16 year old wiring causing problems...

I think the wiring on these cars would have been a problem when they were new never mind after 16 years. If in doubt chuck it out and use new stuff.
Driving an A610 is just so sublime.

No  All that does is put in extra fuel...

We need programmable ignition, no boost limiting whatsover, and full fuel control to each injector, not just a 7th injector..
