I am going to paint it matt black I think! :lol:
The aircon pipes are under the centre of the car and are capped at the rear before the gearbox and go to the front where they are capped after splitting and spreading to either side of the car.....which turned out to be very handy for the chargecooler set up :D

Don't know if it's more effective but I've read that the DV is better placed on the throttle side rather than close to the turbo .

i also read an article about this and they said the same the company doing the article was turbo xs who make dumpvalves,boostcontrollers etc

Its not at all practical to put it on the throttle side! There isnt anywhere so its a silly idea but also.... there is no heat being added to the charge once it leaves the turbo so it shouldnt make any difference at all where it si because its being cooled by the came amount.

It's not to do with heat ,it's releasing backpressure so the closer to source the better .You could plumb it in just as easy .

If a recirculating valve is fitted it should be immediately after the turbo and before the intercooler if the throttle body is downstream.

Ideally the turbo should fitted after the throttle body and then you don't need a recirculating valve at all.

i was really tempted to do this the next time it went to fusion fabrications i was going to get him to weld a take-off on the v6 side and then to cut the old take-off off and weld a bung in it and of course give it a good polish so it looks oe i will do it if i end up buying DG chargecooler as i would mount the charge cooler on the v6 side

it would release the boost pressure faster if it was next to the throttle and also stop unwanted boost getting into the engine if you was on and off boost/throttle

That's poss ,if you rotate the V6 pipe 120 and bin the intercooler which I think is best as it's just a big old oil tank :oops: :lol:

Throttle body upstream is the most energy efficient solution. It minimizes the pump work by the charger and minimises fuel consumption under part load.

Throttle body downstream is actually considered a simple aftermarket approach by the professionals!

Have been doing a little too much research lately for my engine project :wink:
