Have fitted my (fake!) carbon fibre door trims and they look pretty fine if I do say so myself! They also weigh less than a kilo each....which is more than I can say for the wing mirrors which are well over a kilo each! Having examined them carefully and how they fit I'm binning them in favour of teeny weeny motorbike mirrors that weigh the same as a crisp packet and should improve the aerodynamics too :D
Anyone need a couple of wing mirrors???

Weight saving....makes your car go faster for not much money. The sheets look flat and tidy....no bling, only an old Toyota Carina grab handle (scavanged from the local scrappy) to shut the door with!

Hurray, have web space for the photo now!!!! I have to have fully operational glass windows so I wont be losing them.....the switches are in the cetre cosole Lee!!! I have lost the door mounted electric door openers, but they only worked on a Thursday in June every other year anyway  Now I can get to the floor mounted ones easily without the door pockets getting in the way.

Hows your weight Pete, I'm getting a bit porky and could lose 8-9 kilos on a diet.

Thats the favourite comment of every 'how to build a race car' book Ive ever read on the topic of weight saving  At the minute I'm about the middle of my weight range....Ive been 2/3 of a stone lighter and 2/3 of a stone heavier in the last 3 years!!!

That sounds good peter, A mate of mine suggested to his g/f that she should loose some weight and he evn told her that the quickest way to loose a stone was to chop her head off. She was pretty ugly too and history before he could get the next round in.
