just got back from noble and the results are 226bhp@5845 and 238lbft@4026 and thats at 13psi he said when he turned the boost up to 16psi the bhp hardly changed due to charge temps i think he said the temps were in the 50s(wish the nos was working)and estimated 260+bhp when i get the temps down he also said it was running lean on 1/2 throttle but thats sorted now they are top lads and i would recommend them to anyone i will deffo be going back when i get more bits for the car
and on the road the car feels alot smoother and pulls alot harder i would post the graph up but dont know how to post on here inless dg will do it

The heat is the killer :evil: Chargecooler is must , if only for RR's :lol: The torque seems to be a fairly constant factor .

Now :?: at the wheels or the fly guy :roll:

I know all the manufaturers do it, but what is the point is quoting the BHP at the flywheel. The "package" including box, diff etc has to be used, so surely it is the bhp at the wheels that is realistic. It's a bit like saying the energy in the fuel has the power of 700 bhp!
Assuming the engine is 30% efficient, then that relates to 210bhp at the flywheel.

So I have about 700bhp if anyone is impressed?

at the flywheel im guessing to be honest i am so tired was up at 6am and didnt get back till gone 7pm so i didnt ask to many questions as i wanted to get home(and the girlfriend has been nagging at me all day)

but the car has been transformed the apexi boost controller has really smoothed the boost out when he first put it on he rollers it was only making 192bhp and 212lbft so its a big improvement and he reckons theres a lot more to be had out of it :)

No car EVER will produce the manufacturers quoted figures .The only point of RR testing is to evaluate mods ,is it better or not.The fly to wheel calcs will hopefully point to a problem somewhere else besides the powerplant .

When the Alpine engine was tested to '200bhp' by Renault, this was on an engine dyno, not actually in the car.

All GTA's never make factory brake. Its more like the 180bhp of the R25 Turbo.

Did they fit the Apex boost controller? What exactly does it do and how much did it set you back?

Best explained here Peter http://www.apexr1.com/apavbooscon.html Really impressed though big time!!!!!!!took my dad out in it late last night (remember he as a 450bhp RX7) and he was amazed with the transformation of the Alpine.
The Dastek has been fitted as well and is doing every thing they said it would, with much more to come with the charge temps down :( (Will have to save up now for Davids Charge-cooler) i was a bit :( that i couldnt get the N20 intercooler spray kit working in time, they said it would have made all the difference.
Still more then pleased!!!!!!!

He probably couldnt run more than 15 because the factory ignition retard safety would have kicked in and wacked the timing back loads.

Keeping it around 12-13 will be within the factory safe limits. You can map a piggyback to adjust the main map, but not around the live adjustments the original ecu can make.

The 197bhp first run was at normal boost, wasnt it?
