Ah.....I had read the graph the wrong way round and thought the torque was 226.
I would be interested to know what the piggy back youve added has actually gained you. The before and after gains arent anything you wouldnt get just by turning the boost up...when I RR'd mine it had similar spec to yours (with a sticky calliper!) and my results are also similar.

Your running a much larger turbo than Pete and Lee and they would have lost top end power through extra heat at 15psi. They both made more torque though..but then every RR is different...

I would say I was running about 13-14psi......I never go beyond 14.7 (1 bar) as I have an earlier version of the chip and the cut out starts to activate at around this level. Every rolling road is different so its hard to judge. Now you have controllable fuelling, perhaps some bigger injectors would gain you extra power.

yeah next time i go to noble i will price a set up im hoping to run around 20psi if i can get the charge temps down im also getting my new nitrous bottle next week(polished of course :lol: )so i will see if that mahes a difference on the road and the rollers

Save your cash and wait for the DG ECU...RR sessions will end up costing you more than the flipping thing! Its gonna be good and its nearly here (so Ive been led to believe anyway!)......in the long run you'll save money because it will allow you to open up the potential much more than what youve got at the moment. Noble sound like they know what theyre doing but at the end of the day theyre a commercial business and will take your money gain or no gain......you'll feel better if you are making big gains all round and not just on the rollers.

I'd strongly advise running against attempting to run 20 psi boost without some bigger or additional injectors. With the intercooling as it is it will run very very hot and produce little or no extra power (you saw this when you ran it originally on the rolling road and 16 psi). If you get the charge temp down with the N20 you won't have enough fuel capacity in the standard set up to get a safe mixture. I just dug out an old rolling road graph from Van Aaken developments and it was done on a Bosch rolling road that corrects the figure for atmospheric pressure and charge temp so that figures on different days are directly comparable. The spec of the engine at this time was - slightly bigger turbo, uprated fuel pressure reg., Devil Gp N exhaust and K@N filter in the standard air-box (standard intercooler). Corrected figure was 258 bhp, but actual recorded figure was 232 bhp. I can't work out the torque as its measured against roadspeed not revs.
So in effect what its saying is that in optimum conditions the car would have 258 bhp. So if you get your charge temp nice and cool you should see 250 bhp at 16psi without a problem. Car lost 21-22% through the transmission etc out of interest.

when i go back im going to ask them what injectors i would need to run 20psi and get a price of them aswell do you think the standard engine would cope at 20psi i know the clutch is rated at 270bhp but if that lets go its tough because it will need replaceing later down the line at some point

Go easy on the clutch......its engine out job that a garage will charge you getting on for £1000 for if you cant do it yourself.

my dads mate will do it for no more than £200 hes fitting a paddle clutch and a ultralight flywheel to my brothers 5gtt think hes charging about £120 :)

I bet he hasnt tried doing a GTA clutch! The clutch will cost you £100 and to fit it will take a minimum of 10 hours if he knows what he's doing and everything comes to bits ok.....its also a hard job for just one person to do. Remember you are basically removing the entire rear of the car (thats the easy way!!)....or rather lifting the whole of the car off the rear subframe and running gear, everything needs disconnecting and there is no easy way round it. You need to stop using the 5gtt as a yard stick for the GTA....the only things they have in common are the badge, a turbo and poor build quality!! :lol:

Poor build quality, I'd have to beg to differ there.
My car seems pretty good for a twenty year old, most other D reg cars look like wrecks!

alright then how about he fitted a clutch,tubular manifold,turbo,full exhaust system,frontmount intercooler which the front of the car had to be modified(hes a welder by trade) and charged 170 squid :) he has also built a cobra replica which didnt take him long and at the mo inbetween jobs hes building a ginneta with a pinto engine he also did an engine swap on my brothers rs2000 and charged £50 all i do know is this bloke has saved me a lot of money in the past :D :D
