Space saver tyre, flashing fuel display, etc

As a new GTA owner (1988 atmo) I have a few problems I'd be grateful for help with:
My space saver tyre is a write off (big hole in sidewall, looks like heat damage), can anyone suggest the best place to get a new one, or does anyone know of a secondhand one?
My fuel display is flashing continuously. I don't think it was doing this before the car was serviced recently. Is there a way of resetting this?
My original fitment radio/cassette works OK as a cassette player but the radio just hisses. I thought this might be an aerial problem. How do you get at the back of the roof mounted aerial? A possible connected problem is that my interior light also doesn't work, even though the bulbs look OK. Could this be an earthing problem?
Finally, I need a new clutch pedal rubber, will I be able to get this through a Renault dealer?

To reset the computer follow the instructions in the drivers handbook.
Disconnect the battery earth and hold down the reset button for the trip computer.
The back of the aerial is under the interior light so you might be able to kill two birds with one stone! It's also possible that the aerial may have come out of the back of the stereo, so check that as well.
Your local Renault Dealer will be able to supply you with a new pedal rubber for a couple of pounds. It's common to many cars.
You could try Renault for a new spacesaver, they might frighten you with the cost though. If it's burnt because the heat proof bag is missing, that's over £100 alone. Most breakers or specialists will probably have a spare wheel/tyre. Try Paul at ARR, he might have one.

Battery earth connection

Thanks to Stephen and Peter for their help. I now have everything working on my car (well almost everything!) and have been happlily blasting around in my GTA for a few weeks. What fun! The handling is amazing, and although I generally try to stay within speed limits, there's no law against not slowing down for corners!
And what a lot of interest they create. My car has no decals on the rear, and if I'm cruising in the middle lane of the motorway, people going past frequently slow down and drive alongside to have a look before driving on. The first time I filled up with petrol the pretty girl on the till said "cool car"! (I'd have asked her out but she was young enough to be my daughter!)
Anyway, I reset my flashing fuel display as instructed by Stephen, but later I noticed it was flashing again. Then the car wouldn't start. I traced the problem to the earth lead having come detached from the battery. It's got some stupid overcentre clamp arrangement, are they all like that? On mine the pivot pin can slip out. I'm thinking of replacing the overcentre clamp with a normal bolted connection. The other thing I noticed was that there was nothing holding the battery into the car except gravity - not a good idea considering the speed I've been going round corners! Should there be some sort of strap holding the battery down?

Clive, I too have an "over centre" clamp, what a stranve device. It looks like a good device if you wish to disconnect 1 of the battery terminals quickly, but also looks like it will be a bit of a hinderance if I ever needed to use a set of jump leads (due to the clamps plastic body top-cover). I've put the space saver tyre, wheel brace (which just fits in the rim of the s-s wheel) and the jack into the front boot, I guess it gives better weight distribution and it certianly frees up some space in the engine bay. 8)

The blue clamp on terminal is the factory fitment and wears with time. You can buy a new one from Maplin (exact factory item £9.95 pair) or just junk it and fit a 'normal' terminal.

There should be a metal clamp holding the battery down. These are still available new from Renault if yours is missing. I might just be floating about somewhere under the battery tray.
