Only the cover on the A610 is different to the GTA (stiffer), the friction plate and bearing are the same parts, so if your cover is still in good condition with no damage, you can just buy and normal GTA plate and bearing.

Just been talking to AP this afternoon...

The clutch I am now going for is a full uprated 3 part system (240mm diameter 6 paddle cerametallic plate and 280mm cover and new bull nose bearing and this will cope with upto 600lb of torque, as used on the GT40 replicas, and even that is just under £400.

The only problem is it will require the flywheel redrilling and reskimming for the new cover and larger plate, but this is fairly straightforward.

The standard GTA clutch can cope with around 260lb/ft, the 610 around 280 (due to the slightly stiffer cover), but then it all depends how you drive it..

As I don't own anything with a UN1 Gearbox (unless they're fitted on a 21 GTX...), forgive me if this is a stupid question.

As the box is used by the 21 turbo, wouldn't an up-rated 21turbo clutch fit/work?

The box is the same yes, but the flywheel and plate is different, and an uprated one of those is still only good for 300bhp max.

Hence the need to go custom..

So when a 21T guy says he has 325bhp I can ask him if he has a custom clutch and if he says 'no' he's a liar (about the bhp) !!

well that depends....he might have 325bhp at the flywheel, just unfortunately it doesnt make it to the wheels because it slips..

Am I correct guessing that it should last forever on cars with 350bhp?

What type of discount would you get for bulk if a few more GTA turbo drivers wanted one as well?
