Hi,

Sorry for starting another coolant type post but just discovered a dribble from the old girl's behind.......... :D

Checked it out and i've got a split hose, the one that goes from the turbo, (now for me techie speak) just to the right of the shiny turbo bit via a metal pipe and connects to another metal pipe that appears for some reason to connect to the fan duct doodah on the right, just up from the coolant overfill thingy.

am i right in guessing that the replacment part is a "connecting pipe turbo" on the samco parts list?

Is there any bleeding to be undertaken here in refittment or can i just whack it on??? Does the coolant all come from the same place or is there something else i need to be refilling before my turbo go wrong ??

cheers again.....i hope

You won't need to bleed it as it's the highest part of the system and will have more air in it than water/pressure if it's anything like mine .The pipe through the blower is a heat sink type thing and is probably as much use as tits on a boar .

new hose....6 weeks wait....would i get away with a bit of gaffa tape or sealant around the spilt....its not at the turbo end and it's just a tiny drip where the clip has cut into the rubber...... :?:

Let me just clarify...its the hose that goes from the water bottle to a metal pipe that bolts into the turbo??? If so, I bought a meter of silicone hose from ebay for about £10, got it the next day and fitted it on...no 6 week wait or trouble with hose fittings. Its not a particularly high pressure pipe nor will it get excessively hot.

thanks 4 the reply... i think thats the one....despite being spilt the water only just manages to drip out real slow..even after a good burn up the a21....best i get onto e-pay and see what they have as i cannot do with 6 weeks of polishing and no drivin' :)

Here we go....
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... 8049246682

It almost matches my other red hoses!!! I seem to remember where the standard hose met the metal pipe it was bonded on....a hacksaw took care of that and the hose I got slotted nicely over the metal pipe (going to the turbo) and was sealed with a hose clip.
