Chargecooler results

Postby peterg » Tue Jun 06, 2006 2:43 pm

Been rolling today...the chargecooler showed a 12bhp at the wheels increase in power over the non chargecooled car. So now you know!!! Thats around 15bhp at the flywheel.
Car now has 187bhp at the wheels...not too bad.....loads of torque too.

Sadly I have no way of doing it.....also the graph (one of 3) he printed off has incorrect revs.....he has set the RR fo a 4 cylinder car so peak power is at about 6700rpm....which as you know is impossible!!! Its meant to read 5700 I think.
The CC has probably increased the power by more than the figure posted for 2 reasons. Firstly it was fitted and had water in it last time so will have provided some heat absorbtion. Secondly the power run that showed the peak power listed was after the car had got seriously hot because he played with the fuelling first. I would imagine on the roads with the car moving an increas of 15-20bhp at the wheels would be more likely so its a worthwhile piece of kit to have.
Torque was in the 280lbs by the way 8)

Can't you re-fit all the seats and trim and then you can do the head to head with the Nissan

Cool boost, more dense, basically the same as running more boost on a normal engine...
