LSD (not the drug!)

I can't imagine anyone complaining that their Alp doesn't grip acceptably, but I know that one day someone will have so much grunt that they'll be looking for a competition Gripper LSD and no one will know where to get one.
Well, In retrocar magazine there's an article about DR Engineering and their competition diffs and an advert by them listing various ones.
They list a Renault 25/30 as GBP 700.

Quaife have been doing them for years...same sort of money.

In my experience Gripper are better...Ive tried both. Did you see my 'letter of the month' in Retrocar?? Fame at last!!!

I quite like the chevette, but agree with your letter completely.


I hadn't realised quaife did one, but the article mentions that the others (quaife in this case) tend to be better for the road, but grippers are better for the track etc..

Quaife make the torque biasing diff which is better for the road and cheaper but isnt a 'full on' LSD, and it doesnt work as well in extreme conditions.
