chargecooler

Postby gt5 » Fri Jun 30, 2006 7:45 pm

well im half way there in fitting the chargecooler the rad/fan are mounted the chargecooler is mounted just got to do the pipe run and a bit of wiring, ive also mounted the chargecooler on the left hand side and not on top of the engine and on the way home i was putting my foot down quite a bit and when i touched the cooler it was just warm not very hot like the old v6 boost pipe so im very pleased with that ive also had the dumpvalve moved so it sits next to the throttle body now but apart from that it looks very very bling 8)
will post sum pics asap

Yeah, turn the whole rad and fan round...

I was pretty sure it was a pusher anyway :?

Did you follow all the instructions for fitting I gave you? Make sure all that air is out of the cooler, and the filler is the highest point at all times, and that the water from the cool side of the pre-rad is flowing into the 'cold' end of the chargecooler. :)

gt5, where does the hose from the end of the DV go to? I think it needs to go to the inlet manifold, but yours looks like it is going in the other direction.

That is some route you have for the CC.

Check for leaks ,just had mine overboosting after a move about, it was a small split in the hose to the actuator .
