Weirdly thouigh you do seem to see a lot more engine replacements on the low mileage cars than on the high milers. (Other than Tony the speed freak 8) )

Not sure why but I think lack of use means the coolant gets stagnant and corrodes the headgaskets and liners and I've heard of cars restarted after years of non use that just smoke due to bore wear. Again corrosion on the bores and rings.
I'm just here for the gasoline.

Or you may find that the high milers have been used the past for a bit of commuting or traveling, and driven at normal speeds on the motorway, whereas the low milers are just weekend cars, and thrashed within an inch of their life as a treat.. :D

Yea your right , i bought my Alpine GTA as an m.o.t failure where it had rusted near the front right handside suspension for £1,850.
Took it to a local welding specialist who welds up and fabricates rollover cages, body parts ect for compition and trackday cars ( he had two 375bhp mk2 escorts in - awsome ) who told me " one good pothole and this could have snapped " now thats scary :!: anyhow 3days later and £280 later da da all fixed, he gave everything else the o.k which gave me faith.
Straight to an m.o.t centre and a pass :!: :!: so all together my GTA cost me less then £2,200 and i am very happy with it, what else 4 that kind of money would give me the performance or the looks.
never really ever thought that i would own a gta, but am i happy that i do!!.
