Best feature of your GTA

Postby simontaylor » Thu Aug 24, 2006 10:44 am

We all love out GTAs for slightly different reasons, so I thought this might be an interesting thread!

For me it is the speedo, the passenger can not see it from their side and has no idea how rapid the car really is. When they are told, they are allways surprised.

Well not the unreliable speedo that's for sure.

For me I like the fact that the Alpine is an unknown yet it's got a pedigree. That means most people just look at it as a great car, whilst some nod in wise approval. Mostly Lotus drivers actually!

My other main like about the car is that it can do all that, and be used every day, has 4 (ish) seats, and does ~30mpg. There are loads of cars now that have more power but speed and handling wise it's still up there with the best. A lot of the Japanese stuff does 18mpg and are just a collection of spoilers.

Sorry, more than one feature but they all had to get a mention.
I'm just here for the gasoline.

Steering

Postby Tony Smith » Sat Aug 26, 2006 2:49 pm

Definitely the steering for me. But also love the looks. They are the 2 things that in my opinion are better than any car I've ever owned or driven - and thats alot of cars.

It's the rarity factor of it for me. I have taken it to a number of car shows recently and some yoofs just stood and stared, wondering what the feck it is! I was more than happy to educate them a bit  It makes a change from all the japanese Crap that's at some of these shows!

(I also whole-heartedly agree with Richard and Tony about the steering. It's just so direct with loads of feel! :D )
