Spider Wiring Diagram Needed

Hi from Perth in Western Australia.
I'm looking for a complete electrical wiring diagram for a 1998 Spider.
This car is a RHD model with a windscreen and came to Australia
with its last owner when he emigrated a few years back.
I've asked around a number of places and cannot find anyone who
has a wiring diagram for this car.
I have a very minor sensor fault but its driving me nuts and is probably
related to the ECU but a wiring diag would help me big time, if anyone
has one please contact me.

I can get you one but only in French.......

what symptoms do you have?....

if it is ECU related the exact same ecu is found on the megane 2.0 16v but will just need recoding to match your immobiliser.

i can send you the mr by email........ pm me you email address.

Thanks very much, pm with my email address sent.
Its a weird problem and I can't find any reason for the car to do this
but every now and then when you start the motor it just stalls and the
thermo fans come on. You can get the engine to run if you pump the
accelerator pedal but it won't idle.
The fix is dead simple, turn off the battery let the ECU reset, and it
starts and idles beautifully. Until the next time... which could be a day or
weeks away.
Anyway the wiring diagram will let me look for any and all potential
sensor problems etc before I decide its completely the ECU's fault.

The wiring diagram won't help you for sensor faults, especially intermittant ones...

The fault you described can be from a faulty throttle potentiometer, or lambda sensor, or mechanically it could be the fuel pump under supplying, but it is more likely to be sensor fault, as resetting the battery will clear all faults from the ecu memory..

You 'can' check the throttle pot with a multimeter. It is a red linear actuator fitted on the end of the throttle plate with a 3 wire plug. You will have a 5v feed, an earth, and a return to the ecu, which depending on the position of the throttle will return anywhere between 0v and 5v (normally closed and fully open throttle) So, put the multimeter on here and go through the sequence of fully opening and closing it and checking the voltage goes up smoothly with no spikes or drop outs.

I don't know if you have access to a Renault dealer with a diagnostic reader, but the best thing to do when it happens is to get them to plug it into the diagnostic port and it will tell them exactly which sensor has faulted. By you resetting the battery clears all these codes so it won't help them at all..

I guess the Spider has white wires rather than the GTA yellow wires.
Anyway, apparently, on the GTA if you trace the yellow wires, they do have marking colors on them, in the way of coloured dots.
"Only the French" could do this to us.

Thanks for these comments David, unfortunately the car is all but
undrivable when the fault occurs. As soon as you lift off the throttle the
engine stalls. I'll check the throttle pot anyway. Since the car was seviced
last week there has been no return of the problem but its so intermittent
it could be weeks before it resurfaces.

Well, the best thing to do, is when the fault occurs, unplug the throttle pot and/or the lambda sensor connector, and see if the fault vanishes (the ecu will go into default mode) and then that will narrow it down...

An update on the stalling problem.

Since the service the car has been faultless, whereas prior to
the service the stalling problem appeared every second or third time
I tried to start the car.

I believe the culprit was a blocked/cruddy fuel filter. Low kilometres
does not mean you can afford to over look such (cheap) items.
