Stop Light?

Postby LiamMcShane » Tue Oct 12, 2004 12:21 pm

While I was driving my GTA Turbo, I noticed that the Stop light and the Oil light were flickering on at idle. I checked the oil and it seems to be ok, not too black and at the right level. What might be causing this, and is it something to worry about? :?

Its probably elecrical gremlins.....assuming your oil pressure is ok. If you read other posts, you will see that a lot of people (me included) get phantom warning lights....my current one is brake pad worn...but theyre new!!! The stop light automatically comes on when one of the warning lights is on. I believe that the problem will probably be down to an earth wire, or one of the sender wires touching metal somewhere on its route through the car.

Is the oil pressure hard to check on these cars, or is the oil pressure gauge a reliable enough indicator?
