can any one please tel me what wire i splice into to get my pioneer sat nav working properly on my 1994 A610
i had my 1st A610 back in 1994 a yellow 1 J457JTP now i own a blue 1 M610 BLX since 1997.

FORGOT MY OLD LOGIN DETAILS SO REGISTERED AS LAMBOMAN BUT WILL STICK WITH andythecroc

Dunno the specific answer except that the sensor is on the gearbox and reads the diff. I fitted one of these sat navs to a DeLorean and bought an auxiliary device that involved wafting a magnetic wand over half of one of the tyres and installing this ickle box within 2 feet of it. This is for cars with a mechanical speedo.

..And electronic if people can't be assed to find the signal... Sounds very 'heath robinson' but they work VERY well...

Andy, have a look behind the clocks, there will be a digital pulse input to the trip computer/speedo..

Andy,
The wiring diagram on this site (A610 technical info) is pretty good- all the cables are numbered and you can work out which cable is in which section of the loom.
If I remember rightly, the loom runs in the gearchange tunnel - therefore under the centre console. If you get the cable number you should be able to work out which cable it is and only have to use a short wire.
The wiring diagram is arranged in systems- you find the one for instruments and it will show you all the numbers and where in the loom they are physically. At the back there is a drawing of which wires are where in the loom. Numbera are important as most cables are white.
Don't forget that the RHD systems are different in some areas, so you need to check there are no relevant additional circuit diagrams in the "supplement & corrections" that contains the RHD cars BEFORE you look elsewhere. For example, the ABS system is correct in the supplement, but not the main manual, but that's another story.

I find "babel fish" good for translating the places where my french fails.
