I think you'll find it's Renault sourced only and quite often on back-order.
Your local Renault dealer should be able to get it for you if you give them the parts number, but yes they're often useless.
When I had my windscreen replaced by Autoglass (or whoever it was) 5 odd years ago they handled the whole thing for me. They sourced the windscreen from Pilkington I seem to remember, but got the surround from Renault after a few weeks wait. The good thing was that since this was all done due to a crack, and therefore an insurance job, I only paid the 50 quid excess. Hate to think what the glass, trim and labour would be otherwise.
By the way it's a bonded screen so part of the torsional strength of the car. They really should bond it in with the car parked on a flat surface and then left 24 hrs before it's driven. (I took mine in on the Friday morning and collected it on the Sat)
