You can get away with 6mm but it's a tight fit. 8mm is too big and will cause problems. If yours is an early car with clamp on connectors believe it or not you can get 7mm injection hose in Halfords

OE Renault fuel pipes are definitely 6mm diameter bore. I bought some from Renault a couple of years ago and made a point to note the size as I was using 8mm pipes I'd bought from the local motor factors and was suffering fuel leaks. They are a tight fit but will push on with some washing up liquid and lots of perseverance!

Definitely 6mm though! :P :D

Mine were definately 7mm.

They had that diameter printed on them.

In my experience 7mm is perfect but harder to find.

7mm is also the standard size for continental high pressure injection hose.

6mm is easy to find and fits OK but is tight. Problem is most people end up using standard 6mm petrol pipe which is commonly available rather than injection hose.

8mm is a no go and normally leaks, although if you measure the fuel rail intakes with verniers they do average 8.25 - 8.50mm.

 Typical Renault then! Mine definitely had 6mm on them!

6 or 7, I think we're agreed, either will do. 8 is definitely a no no though!
