Its not solved as easily as an earth! The rear pump wasnt working because it didnt have an earth....nothing to do with plastic cars because the rest of the lower loom appears to have earth.....the wire must be broken somewhere inside the loom.
Lots of fuel now....unfortuntately none of it is getting into the cylinders because the injectors dont fire. I have to get ready for work now, so it rolls over to another day! Any bright ideas???

Have you checked the relay that powers up the 12v to the injectors yet?

Will need a map to show which it is! Not sure how to check one either! Will check the ECU on a laptop next day off I get.

If you have a test meter, you can check for 12v directly at the injectors, or in the main wiring loom near the bulhead, you will see all 6 yellow wires from the injectors come together into a soldered 'blob', again, you can check for voltage from there.

You laugh, but I always remember looking at the wiring diagrams for the engine loom and seeing that all 6 wires were joined somewhere in the loom and thinking 'I wonder how they terminated it?'...

Low and behold I strip back the wires, and see 6 twisted together with a load of solder over them

Ditto too.

The quest to do things properly and then, those yellow wires catch up again.

It's always best to be anal about labelling things and putting bolts back where they came from
