An eminent linguist was giving a lecture on how positives and negatives worked in different languages, She explained that in most languages, a double negative statement was interpreted as a positive as in "don't not do that". Also in most languages, a postive followed by a negative would be interpreted as negative as in "Do not do that".
She had just gone on to explain that there was however no language in the world where a positive, combined with another positive could be interpreted as a negative, when a Scotiish voice at the back was heard to say "Aye, right!"
