Yes DeLorean ones get regularly relocated to the recycle bin....

Untidy workshop? Yes, it's one that gets used. A LOT. Under that bench is our collection of gearboxes. The bench itself gets used to paint lots of things and consequently has picked up a multitude of bits of overspray that has all congealed into blackness now. It's not just a garage, it's a 4-bay workshop, and that's my engine building corner :-)

The conrods lined up behind the engine are from my donor Laguna engine that is currently on the floor next to the bench. One day I might be able to find some pistons for it and build the thing, but for now they can live there, all marked up and ready when I need them :-)

The dizzy may not be able to live where it is but it does not need to be relocated to the front.

The exhaust was bought from Simon Autos by Rob who owns the car.... When it came off it was covered in rust yet is only a couple of years old

Well, it's in.... and no problems keeping the dizzy where it was originally. Access is excellent once the coolant pipes are moved and plenty of room to change out a cap and rotor in future. Intake manifold not properly installed, merely put in place for the purpose of photos :)

Where are you going to route the water pipes?

Round the other side with the thermostat housing reversed?

I take it its just sat in there by the angle its sitting?

Where are you going to run the coolant pipes? Remember to put the rest of the bolts back in the timing chain cover... :wink:

Bodging some water pipes will be easy...silicone hose from ebay at £25 a meter.....wont matter once its sold on!! :lol: :lol:

talking to me?

No, it's fully bolted up and back on its wheels when those photos were taken.

The coolant pipes can pretty much go wherever we like. The pipes were cut above the gearbox and the resulting two Z-shapes pipes were cut again giving 4 handy 90 degree elbows. Two were used to point vertically up at the back and two will be used to route them to the right above the +ve terminal. Another couple of 90 degree bends robbed from a DeLorean will be used to bring them around the corner and join up to the original hoses. Unsurprisingly the DeLorean also uses 1.25" pipework

As to the timing cover, those two on the left are M8's and I didn't have any long enough on the shelf. But the cover is properly splunged up, and oil doesn't tend to leak vertically upwards anyway :P

And no, Peter, it's not my car, and it's not going to be sold.
