My local council are trying to put speed bumps in, but if they place them correctly it'll actually smooth the roads out...

I've also got a spare trolley jack and some blocks of wood that you can use to put under the front wheels that will give you enough safe working room to get at the pump.
The front fuel pump can be got at without taking off the whole bumper - just remove the rear undertray (4/6 bolts/torx head screws) and take out the 6 bolts holding the front bumper/undertray to the front subframe and you can move it out of the way enough to get into the pump. Dont worry if the bolts shear - they are normally quite rusted up. I have some "nutserts" that can be used to replace the threaded inserts in the subframe if they are knacked. Some others on the forum seem to just use cable ties to hold the undertray on.
