Irish Chapter - meeting due!!

Postby dermotj » Wed Jan 10, 2007 5:08 pm

We are long overdue a meeting of the irish chapter of alpinistes- any ideas anyone ? where and when -all reasonable suggestions considered ( and perhaps even a few unreasonable ones too!)

the ace cafe is just a bit out of range for me this month.

the 'ring had to be cancelled thanks to cars not being completed houses being built and people getting married - bt has already been mooted for this year

rupert the 22nd is a monday! are you staying long? weekends are generally better for getting people together

are there any more reasonable suggestions - hopefully from irish alpinists as our english friends have failed to cross the water yet( except for rupert and andrew though he of course is welsh- a fellow celt not afraid of water!)

I should hope so..... I thought you had more cars than the rest of the Irish chapter combined.
Anyway, if you did'nt have a working one, I'm sure you could sort it out twice as fast as the rest of us could get an engine out :)

Irish Meet

Postby kevinrooney » Thu Jan 18, 2007 10:17 am

A blast around the antrim hills or the wicklow mountains would be good.
how about a spin to Dublin ?- A blast around the wicklow hills and lunch in the roundwood inn? or a track day at mondello? good food but very popular with hill climbers
Alternativly a spin up north - Dont know where the main body of alpines are based . (2 in Dublin ) - apart from all the cars richard owns.
