Isle of Man 2006

Postby peterg » Wed Nov 10, 2004 10:46 pm

Just been given details of an awesome event that is due to take place on the Isle of Man in april 2006. Its a 3 day sprint/pursuit/hillclimb extravaganza back to back weekend that is going to be televised and uses sections of the TT course (public roads) as well as an airfield and includes a floodlit nightime hillclimb in the capitol Douglas. I have already signed up....for anyone interested in Speed events its a must!!!!!! Its not overly expensive and includes accomodation and a dinner at the end. Its not often you come across events on public roads these days....and you only need a nat. B speed licence to compete.....so no medical or test necessary.

Its being organised by the Manx motor racing club. Their website address is manxmotorracingclub.com
My local club (Wigton) is sorting out a preferential rate for ferries, accomodation and doing all 3 parts of the weekend to keep costs down (way down compared to what has been quoted for individual attendance), so if you are really interested joining Wigton would save a fortune (there are members from all over England and Scotland already due to the various motorsport series the club runs....and its only £12 a year)
