haha, I can't believe you put the DD Autosports plot up

I know the guy that owns that car, wait till I tell him..

Now I realise why you think '300bhp' is easy...

I was showing the non-believers that a 1.4 litre , 4 cylinder , pushrod engine can produce a big bhp hit , hence some dyno plots . Can we see peterg's puny 210 bhp at wheels dyno plot then despite using 6 cylinders and twice as much capacity + fuel injection !!!!!!!!

There not non belieivers. We all know how much power the C1Js can do, talked about it a few years back...

Problem is with the DD car, is it ran a T34 hybrid, nitrous, and over 35psi of boost, (it actually made 354bhp) and when it was put down the strip wasn't that fast by todays standards...it done a 12.61 at 110 even on solid rear shocks, slicks, fully stripped, plexi etc...

The thing is 350bhp out of a 5 GT is the equivalent to nearly 700bhp on a GTA, in which case would be doing quarters most likely in the 9's, whereas that Five is still scrabbling at the 12's....

A610's with 420bhp were racing in GT2 series, along side Vipers, Porsche GT2 Biturbos etc.. touching 200mph... 8)

But all this doesnt mean that your car can do it just because somebody else has..

If were going to throw someone elses dyno plots up..I know what, ill get a dyno plot up of the 1500bhp F1 turbo engine, thats V6 innit, or howabout a 900bhp WM PRV V6... Makes 354bhp look abit silly....

Tell me more how engine capacity and the number of cylinders determines how much power an engine makes...?

No he's not....but for the record the T2 Maxi 1600cc that wont the 1985 Tour De Corse ran 408bhp in short bursts using water injection...but it tooka that to beat 300bhp Lancia 037 and 350 bhp Peugeot T16s.
Still doesnt mean you can do that with your Gordini!!!! :D

I didn't bother posting up the 354 bhp dyno plot because it was using nitrous . The ones i posted up were without any gas  . Let's see some gta ones then ? I know Tony Smiths got a good one but that's about it , so despite lots of talk are there actually anymore powerfull ones then ? The extra capacity and cylinders you've got should make it easier to beat a 1.4 litre pushrod 4 pot motors output . The problem is though that a gta's engine is rubbish compared to a gordini's !!!!!!!! Also you don't need alot of power in a gta for a high top speed , just because they can do 160+ mph doesn't mean it's engines any good , it just means that the body shapes slippery with no drag and tall gearing . It would still do 170 mph with a 100 bhp if the roads long enough  !!!!!!!

The 1985 tour da corse maxi 5 turbo spanked all the motors in this event . It beat 650 bhp Peugeot T16 evos , and everything else that turned up by foooooking miles , and it was wet !!!!!!!!

You dont half like to exagerate BHP figures!! No one was running 650bhp in 1985. Even the S4 Delta wasnt making more than 500bhp a year later. The agreed figure for the T16 2 was 450bhp As for the 1985 Tour De Corse......Audi didnt enter, only one Peugeot finished and one of the Lancia works drivers Attolio Bettega was killed during the event and the rest of the team pulled out along with quite a few others. An Alfa GTV and 2 Porsche 911 SCs made up the 3rd-5th places!!!
It was also the T2s finale for a car that had outlived its era.....and it was bloody marvellous too.....but it took a very special effort that couldnt be repeated to acheive it...the whole car needed re-building afterwards.

Gary...instead of spouting half baked nonsense, why not stick to something you do know about?
