Got the exhaust studs etc ,Thanks Martin 8) Not sure about the blue sump :? :?:

Done all I can do engine wise now :shock: Will climb in the empty bay this weekend and clean it up .Can't move the car till after the 14th then it should be in and running in 3 or 4 days :lol: :twisted:

Lee, it looks really good. I'd be tempted to strip the sump and leave it in silver, as I'd guess that would be a little better doe disipating the heat from the oil.
Well done on a good job, mind you don't scratch the paintwork on the way back in.

Get thee behind me :!: I'm already finding myself things to do that I wasn't intending to .Gearboxes are Big Keith's forte ,he's in the nextdoor unit and cleaned the block for me .
Will the box come out easily on its own ,looks like it will :twisted: :twisted:

Gearbox will come out VERY easily, especially as the engins is not connected to it. You should have a long bolt and not for 1 linkage, a ball/socket for the other (just prise it off), the reverse gear lock (just unscrews) an earth strap and speedo (maybe you have already disconnected this). Lastly the mount at the front (just a few bolts and it comes apart).

Oh yes, drive shafts, clutch hydraulic line. probably somethings else too ???

The sump in blue just looks camp!!! :lol: Get it stripped back to silver. You havent wrapped your manifolds yet...or have you sprayed them with ceramic coat? If not get it done.....youre wasting opportunities!

I'm not convinnced that cutting holes helps, the air in the engine bay is pretty hot after all, and the intercooler is supposed to work because of the vacuum created under the spoiler, as a result you may actually reduce the amount of cool air drawn down through the rear grille thing.
IMHO anyway!

Cut two large holes, but put flexi ducting from them to down low in the engine bay. The vacuum behind the car with then pull the cool air through the ducting, and then through the intercooler.
