You may be right .I was going to duct some air to the holes from the old airbox hole in the inner panel or from the top rear spoiler intakes .Exhaust will be like PG's pipe/Europa so should lose a lot of heat in that area .

IMO clean the sump and PAINT it silver. Sounds daft but the result is a sump where dirt just falls off it rather than sticking. I use Plastic-cote primer & paint from Halfrauds. Good stuff, totally impervious to anything a car usually throws at it - oil, fuel, brake fluid etc, and really easy to lay up. I did this engine in it - and nobody ever spots that it's painted - just that it looks really clean and shiny. Sorry, doesn't show the sump!

Black sump looks pants - tried that, just looks really dirty all the time. Body coloured would be okie IMO.

And if you're going blue, for gawd's sake go metallic :D

I know I want to :twisted: But for hills and sprints I can live without ,will be needed for track time . ..........I need seats and harness first :lol:

cutting holes:

i have done some measurements in the past and fact is, that there is a high pressure area on the spoiler at the intercooler entrance. actually renault did a good job here, they apparently spend a lot of time to get the aerodynamics right. i found out, the pressure to be 30 % higher there as compared to the frontal air pressure at a certain speed. that simply means, there will be more air flowing through the cooler than if you were to hold it out of the window (disregarding the obvious flow restrictions).

if you cut holes in the panel, the high pressure air will flow through them as well as through the cooler with detrimental effect.

the only way i know of increasing the flow, is to fit a larger spoiler. i had a spoiler about 30 cm wide and it increased flow through the cooler by 30 %, but only at higher speeds. (fleischmann knew, what he was doing).

Wan't some Cobra Monaco S's? FIA approved fixed bucket, extra padded...black, 5 point harnessing, 8kgs each, base mounting - I have 50, yes 50 in stock at the mo.. :lol:

Roman...the grill in the top of the spoiler doesnt duct any air through the intercooler at all - A610, yes, GTA no.

ye of little......hills and sprints can have tight corners or inclines that require good dollops of midrange torque...., come over to the darkside, you know you want to... :twisted:

I was going to ..........but may be getting something a lot lighter when funds allow :wink: :lol: Charge cooler also but :roll:
There's always room for negotiation though ...............
