wiper blades

just phoned renault for some wiper blades and the reply was,yes we have them £49 im starting to think i would be cheaper to run a lambo so wheres the next best place to get some from?.its not just the blade thats knackered one of the clips that holds the wiper onto the arm has snapped and i havnt seen another car using simaliar clips

I have arms with the clips you need. I take it yours is an early car?

Hi - I found that Valeo Silencio blades fit nicely. My GTA is an '88. They're french - which may or may not be relevant - and have the correct profile (ie the metal bit is lower on one side so doesn't foul the arm). They came from the really friendly and helpful Bennetts in Welwyn Garden City but I'm sure you'll have a local stockist.

They're V53 21"/530mm x 1 and the box has a code 574172. Cost £13.82 for the pair.

The Bosch blades I bought first from Halfords don't fit - the profile of the blade is such that the blade won't flat on the screen. They'll end up on one of the other cars.

GTA arms will only take a small % of blades due to the unusual clip fitment.

A610 arms will take all standard blades.

I have new & SH A610 arms in stock. All very cheap.

I have a 90 GTA and use the Valeo blades (V55, 22").

Fletchers Auto Store in Birmingham do them. They might post some out.
