The original front fuel filter on the Turbo is a stainless mesh with 8mm push on ends, whereas you would be most likely to be fitting a paper injection filter.

No harm done in using the paper type except that you should then be replacing it then, rather than the back one as all of the fine material will be caught in it, and not getting a chance to get to the rear filter.

From my limited experience with three GTAs, it seems the fuel filters are rarely changed in the UK.
