Recently fitted my chargecooler from ART.
Results, Fantastic. Car has been completly transformed. Just keeps on going.

Some pictures of Dave's installation.
Note the swirlpot/header-filler tank installed in the n/s engine bay side shelf. Dave said the system was very easy to bleed air out of it. Also the dump valve has been re-sited and the output has been fed back to the turbo input pipe to minimise blow off noise.

Not the best position for the pipe work in my opinion,its soaking up all that heat from the exhaust!!! :o

Extremely negligible though, hence the reason why we use water in chargecoolers, as it is so difficult to heat up water quickly 8)

The pump flows 300cc/second, it has no time to warm either.. :)

True,but the pipework itself will be constantly heated and this will transfer to the water quicker?? :shock:

Dave's pipework isn't really on the exhaust, its just under the original boost pipes, which would probably suffer more heat soak issues that the clear piping as they have only air flowing through them rather than water, which as I mentioned is far harder to heat than air.

Its swings and roundabouts, his pipework may be near a heat source, though the plastic pipe is very non conductive, and the other flip of the coin is he has lengthened the water system quite alot by this placement, so if any water is warmed, there is alot more of it to try and heat up.

The car was never designed to have a charge cooler fitted,so the ultimate installation will never be acheived! :lol:
