I fixed a block-bottom plate leak with some silicone sealer, like the roll pins in the GTA drive shafts. It has held up fine over 2,000 miles. No need to take it all apart, just make sure it is as clean as possible before application.

Be carefull when you take out and refit the T2 gearbox because the clutch release bearing is located by an easy to snap off expensive fork arm    you must be carefull and make sure that you've unhooked the release bearing when the gearbox starts too seperate or else . Just lift the clutch arm bit up as you slide it back slowly and it will unhook from the release bearing :D I'm not sure what turbo your using but i just used 2x standard turbo support brackets at the same time and never had a proplem with turbo movement on mine 8)

Four EGT sensors in on the manifolds  One of the ideas with these is with the use of four water injectors in the inlet manifold, The EGT gauge will give readings/warnings of a blocked w-i jet and egt's on all four cylinders 8)

Just started it up and it sounds OK, LOUD!!!!!! the turbo is very audible through the tail pipe? only thing it seems to be doing wrong is idling high-ish, just under 2000rpm, norm is about 1500rpm???? just wondering if the vacuum hoses are on right? would this cause a high idle???? im using one of those Turbosmart boost controllers same as DG sells.

Bling 8) Lee it must be a Taylor thing :) i was tempted to get all the shiney bits done black. ill see. Prescott would be good Stephen but theres still a lot to do and a holiday before then, so not sure?

One thing that does worry me a bit is the turbo oil return hose, with the g-box support bracket on, the oil pipe isnt on a really steep incline :? its aiming down all the way,but before the bracket its JUST on a downward incline  Should be OK???

Well lowish :D , hear that there a couple of German 'boys' who are running their engines (happily) to 8250rpm   But I think some very serious amount of euros has been spent to get them up this high.

Yours looking very very good though, puts my very 80's look to shame :D

Well, on your car the throttle is before the turbo - on the old turbo the compressor wheel and housing would have created more of a restriction, now you have my larger turbo with the bigger comp wheel and housing there is more air going through on idle....

Could be one reason, or a hundred others
