I have had a good look at the engine loom .Ages ago I noticed a section of bare wires ,the insulation had crumbled .I did a quick rewrap but never determined the wires function .
Turns out it's the knock sensor wiring ,could this be making the fueling richer ?

Yeah sure it will!!!
The good news is I dont think scrutineers have to take compulsory eye sight tests......you may find one that needs a labrador to help him around!!
Interior is looking good though. Isnt it meant to be finished by Easter (I'm sure thats what you said at some point in the past!)????

I think it looks pretty good. A good spray paint to create the border rather than gaffa tape  and providing you could get the curvature it'd look spot on.

I reckon people would be hard pressed to prove it wasn't a factory 'RS' style option. Let's face it how many people would believe a GTA could have had electronically controlled adjustable dampers as a factory option?
I'm just here for the gasoline.

You guy's  It's only a trial fitting
I will apply some vinyl strips once it's all fitted and correct and the curve is only 2 cm in both directions so a bit of heat will sort that
It looks really plastic in the flesh ,but I thought there was a healthy ,friendly spirit in grass roots racing
If not they can kiss my fat hairy asp and put me in mod prod

Easter is still on ........just .Too many kids ,not enough money and a house move keep getting in the way of my priorities

There is a healthy friendly spirit....but when you park next to someone who is blatanly breaking the rules, you will find it hard to bite your tongue unless they are one of the old giffers holding up the rear of the field in their pride and joy.
You only get beaten once by someone with an illegal car (assuming the ever vigilant scrutineers havent already spotted it!)

I'm not breaking the rules ,I'm stretching them .Find me a new rear screen then .That's the problem with amateur racing ,it's all too serious .

"Streching"..... interpritation is in the eye of the beholder.
Lee, contact the chief scrutineer, explain your circumstances just to get their acceptance, show them a "factory option", the louvred covers from Flieshmann and Simon Autos etc. Yours is more like the original when compared to the other available alternatives.
The regs do say that the opening mechanisms need to be there too.
