ATMO road tests

Postby Ohms_GTA » Fri Apr 27, 2007 3:00 pm

I've just been scouring Ebay in a search for original ATMO GTA road tests and I've found material by just about every publication of the time, but they're all for the turbo.

Did the press ever actually get to test the ATMO? Would love to read what they had to say about it. I'm sure I've read on here that the Factory test drivers preferred the delivery of the ATMO. :D

Buy the 'Transport Source Books' editions on the Alpines. 2 volumes - scruffy really but full of old articles. I'll dig out the numbers for them tonight if no-one else can tell you them.

You'll be wanting Transport Source Books - Alpine Renault Volumes I & II

Tel 01473 270376 (or at least it was) ISBN No for vol 2 is 1 85847 408 6

I can't see an ISBN for Vol1. They're both just collections of old road tests and articles, not particularly well photocopied to be honest and poorly bound but worth a read.

Renault Alpine Gold Portfolio by Brooklands Books is a much better version of the same thing - quality wise they're scanned and cleaned up articles so much better quality. ISBN is 1 85520 360X Lots of articles on the V6, V6 Turbo and 610 plus 310, 110 etc

I'd try giving the number a ring. They're pretty old books now but based on the fact that they were just a collection of articles I'd have thought you should still be able to get them as long as the company are still trading.

Always ask these guys about Alpine books : http://www.chaters.co.uk/
Clive (the boss) was an A310 owner and is still keen on Alpines, and both he and his son Paul are knowledgable.
Alpine A110, Renault Safrane 2.5dt, Hudson Kindred Spirit (Renault powered), transAlp (Honda) and Ducati Multistrada
