Oil cooler or heat exchanger???

Postby spryboy1974 » Wed May 02, 2007 6:34 pm

The standard Z7X Laguna engine doesn't have either as standard, but now when the engine goes into the back of my GTA,along with the fact that i will be using a supercharger which would be best???

I will also be retaining the CC and seeing as the SC produces a lot less heat than a turbo will i need to use either??? :?

Stick with the standard GTA heat exchanger, it will be fine. Oil temps will be lower on the SC setup...

GTA fitment is different from the 3 litre engines. You'll need the threaded insert from Renault for an A610 in order to screw the centre fitting in. It's about £6

So you guys don't reckon i could do without it then?? :?

I just want the engine to be as ready as poss for the change over without having to take loads of parts off the original engine,so it will be easier to sell! :D

Have you checked out the back of the Laguna water pump and all the pipework under the intake manifold - it's vastly different.
