Black is the new red......

Postby rupert » Wed May 23, 2007 10:40 pm

anyone that's seen my turbo knows it isn't excatly concours. Especially the roof, which has a load of familiar fibreglass blisters. Really needs a repair and repaint... and I was thinking of making it black... So rather than blow £200 on proper repair and paint and find I hate the colour, I spent £6 and bought some satin black paint...

Half an hour later 8)

I'm posting this now so I don't get any apologetic commments come the weekend at Prescott.... I know the roof's bad, now its black and bad....Still has the blisters, but I sort of like it.

Haven't seen it in daylight mind!

I like the matt/satin black look, but I hear it's a bu99er to keep clean.....

I like it as well, I'm thinking of a respray for mine eventually in Black. You don't see many Black ones and it was a no cost colour option as well wasn't it?

I think it looks pretty good too. (From a distance! :P )

Looking in my July '87 sales brochure, you had a colour choice of 'Supergloss Red' or 'Supergloss Black'. 'Supergloss Metallic Silver' , 'Supergloss Pearl White', 'Supergloss Metallic Titian Red' and 'Supergloss Metallic Stratos Blue' were the optional colours.
