Charge temps before depend on too much, turbo, boost pressure etc.. Basically you should be seeing 10-15 degrees above ambient after the CC.

Cheers for the reply Dave, it was more out of curiosity re the charge temps before the cc or/and intercooler, suppose ill know soon :wink: The T2 isnt going to be pushed to hard until its been on the dyno, what's the norm max charge temps i would want to see before trouble, i am presuming that they are going to be above 10-15 deg above ambient running 15-16 psi :?

No, you should be seeing 10-15 above ambient. There is no 'ideal' temp, you want it as low as possible, preferably below 40c..

:twisted: :evil: Any tips for bleading the CC :x its all piped up and filled with red antifreze mix, half of its over the engine :evil: what a pain trying to blead it, all the clear lines will fill up nice n red then the pump will start gurgling n the return from the cc will half empty :roll:
Any ideas lads for tomorrows attempt :?:

I had a bleed valve fitted to mine to help (never got the chance in the end!).........but having the CC on its side with the filler as far above it as you can will help. I certainly couldnt get mine anything like filled with it attached to the boost hoses. It is a pain......bleed valve will make it easy!

:evil: :evil: Still strugling :twisted: Just wondering if the plumbing on the hoses sounds right :?

From the pump out - straight up to the exp tank (Which is higher then the rad and cc) out of the exp tank to the bottom of the rad, rad out top with the hose to the cc then the cc back to the pump :?

just had a couple of hrs trying to sort it with no luck, it seems to be getting a lot of air in the cc to pump hose :roll:

I used to pressure fill mine to help get any air pockets in the pipes out.......garden hose pipe directly into the water pipes. It was a bit messy first time I tried it, but after a bit of practice I managed to stay dry!

Just tried that Peter, managed to get a right soaking :evil: and still no joy, As anyone on here managed to get there system fully sorted? just thinking with your post peter when you mentioned you was going to fit a bleed valve :?: just about ran out of ideas now :? tried holding the header tank up really high, the hose connected, blowing into the tank which does somthing as well as giving me a mouthfull of antifreeze :cry:
Just a little worried what Noble had said to GT5, they thought the system could do with a more powerful pump :shock: :?: with it been a long run :roll:

I do not find any problems with air in the system or even to bleed it.
I use a simple "tee" piece to fill and bleed the system. It was filled and bleed after the winter when the engine was put back in and I bleed it again just before Prescott, probably 1,000 miles of running and only had to replace about an inch of water into my filler tube.

All I do is loosen the CC and rotate it 90 degrees, also it help a bit to raise 1 end and give it a little shake to hekp the bubbles out. It is true to say that any small amount of air will allways collect in the CC.

This is the normal installation, since which I have cut down the filler tube from about 1.2meters to about 20 cms.

You will have to get the CC inlet/outlet pointing vertical as Simon says .

Both the inlet and outlet on the CC are vertical all of the time, just thinking if the hoses could be the prob under the car? the pump is sat low in the boot floor below the rad and cc but the hoses are running a bit lower then the pump? what do you reckon?saying that it will be dificult for them not to be :roll:
Might try a T near the CC Tomorrow and see if that helps,

The hoses being lower won't matter ,neither will the pump power .You need to fill it at a higher point than the bleed point and that should be it .You have got the pump the right way round ?????Where's your rad at in the system ?

After relocating my header tank to the engine bay,(due to the abs pump),i haven't had any probs with my system at all.
I don't even need any kind of bleed Tee in the system to get the air out!

My system goes - header tank at the highest point,going to the pre-rad,pump and CC.
One tip i would recommend is that when you fill the header tank put a bit of tubing down the outlet side and only fill that side because if you just top the tank up you will be putting pressure on the inlet side and this is where the pump struggles.
The return on the tank should really be above the point of the outlet,but as this isn't so it makes the bleeding alot more difficult!!! :twisted:
