Usually happens after jacking the car up with the wheels dangling..... I think it twists the metalastik bushes in their sleeves. Perhaps I should make some poly bushes,eh? Anyone got a spare set of stock bushes to copy?

Any way to stop it - short of replacing the bushes?

Mine squeaked a few years ago especially when going over speed humps.

So, during the MOT I got the garage to squirt some silicon lube (Auto Glym do one) on the rubber bushes closest to the chassis.

Seems to have cured it.

Also use the lube on the window runners which helps to keep everything smooth.

Basically, the main bolt rusts itself to the inner steel tube in the bush, and thus the whole bush turns inside its outter casing...

It needs LUUUBE..

Which bushes Dave?
- the anti roll bar or the wishbones? It seems to be a common problem on these cars...
Thanks
