Front quarter glasses

Postby spryboy1974 » Fri Jul 20, 2007 7:04 pm

Are these bonded in?

I am getting a lot of wind noise around this area and on closer inspection i have found that the inner seal/strip is badly distorted on both sides - maybe somebody has tried to remove them before?

Does anyone know if these are still available? :?

Wind noise is much more likely to be from in and around the door mirror. Take off the small triangular plastic cover and make sure they're tight. Also they originally had some foam in there to act as insulation.
I'm just here for the gasoline.

Thanks for the advice Darren i will look at that.
I would really like to replace these inner seals though as they are very badly fitted.
Went in to my local Renault dealer this morning and they turned out to be as helpful as a chocalate kettle!!

If you get stuck.....

Really helpful and friendly Renault dealer - Waters in Letchworth, Hertfordshire (don't have the number to hand but google them - they have a site). Speak to Michael in the parts dept. He's the only chap there (in parts) so you might need to leave a message or call back.

He's ordered me loads of parts for my GTA and is really enthusiastic.

If they can't do mail order I'll happily collect and post the parts for you.

You'll likely find a more helpful dealer locally anyway - the first one I went to here was a complete idiot!
