Niggles ,niggles niggles
I get one sorted and another appears .The idle cutout seems to be a relay glitch ,the fecker was getting red hot ,replaced it with one off the 25T loom and it's OK and stays cool .
I now have a charge problem ....................as in it aint  The warning light does not come on at all ,doesn't light when pre-ignition or after .I shorted the regulator to earth and it illuminates so not the bulb .That's all the manual says regarding this ,it doesn't offer any further advice .
When I test at the battery it's reading 12.5v with engine off but 11.8 when running :? :? Regulator ????
I was thinking I've wired it up wrong ,after 8 months ,I could have forgotten where it goes  , but how ? Big red wire + goes to connectors attached to inner wing ,small black M into loom and the reg connector is eejut proof .

lee, sounds like you wired it up ok,
if i were you, go get it bench tested. I had one which was not charging, It was one of the big diodes that had blown. Clearly visable when the shop tech had taken it apart.
£49 to suppy and fit a new one.

Got the engine run in ,sounds sweet , but the fuel cutout has reappeared  The new relay is getting red hot again on the big brown terminal,# 5 .It might be a dodgy spade connection but does anyone know where the other end of this wire is ?
It's not the fuel pump as they are a fair bit smaller ............

My bad I think .............It's the injector relay ,well it's on the end of the shorter of the two wire looms .Same question applies though ?????

Unplug all the inejctors and test resistance across the o/p wire to ground. It should be open circuit. I'm guessing your injector loom might have a short to ground somewhere. If you get really stuck, it's not that much work to make yourself a new injector loom.

To confirm, all injectors are permanently powered on one side from that relay when the ignition is switched on.The ECU then grounds them to switch them on (electronically it's a lot easier to do a switched ground system)

Cheers Martin :D ...........I remembered that I've got a 25T loom in the shed so had a nose at that and yes it terminates at a big injector blob .I think it might just be a bad spade connection as it's burnt all round the male on the relay .
I meant to redo the injector plugs ages ago they are very tired and brittle looking .

Came across these guys recently.

http://www.autoelectricsupplies.co.uk/product/680

Not used them but considerably cheaper than anywhere else I've seen. I have relay socket spades on my shelf, DeLoreans tend to get a little.... er.... warm on occasions too :)
