Don't know if you may of seen the Auto Express issue dated 17th October 2007 but it indicates that the Alpine brand may return.
It is included in the review of the Grand Modus but the last two paragraphs make interesting reading to the effect that Renault are considering a new coupe to spearhead the relaunch of the Alpine brand in 2010.
We will wait and see what happens
