Yep, I've done a couple of events over there and they can be a tad dangerous... Can't remember the name of the one on the north coast with the huge rock towers each side of the track and stone walls most of the way up... oh and the finish line on a fast left hander.... nice touch that as you brake to miss the guys that have already run..

Interesting, has the 5 stud OZ wheels on it so must have A610 uprights fitted...... Tho £6000 is still a fair bit to spend on a 1986 GTA

Not 610..what they do is fit 21 turbo hub carrier and disc. The Europa cups only ran 285mm 21 discs with late GTA/610 calipers.

i like the 1/4 window sections, that looks cool. you can get them from politec. i think the genuine thing would be much better value, if i had have known about the one for sale earlier in the year (thread on cheap gta??? had the link) i would have bought it and set about converting to r/h/d using the car i am currently building. now that would turn heads as well as being a fantastic thing to drive. :D

But that is a converted road car too, not an original Europa Cup car.
Interested by the 21 turbo hubs idea, then I can fit my spider rims. Are they cheap?

Do the plastic 1/4 windows serve a purpose or do they just stick on top of the glass??? I thought about the earlier genuine Europa cup car too......but sorting out everything to get it road legal over here would be a nightmare, and I reckon I will have a quicker car by the time Ive finished mine (ECU and cams to go..... oh and probably loads of other things when I think of them!!!!)

The real Europa cups have a long third geat to get them over 100mph in third which would help 0-100 and 1/4 mile times.

I dont know the full details. The discs are definately the same as the 21 turbo items, dia. and hub height, but the disc hub height is different to the standard GTA, so the caliper would need to be spaced forward or backward (dont know?), and hopefully the hub is the same bearing format as the GTA/25, just in 5 stud and should replace it.

Importing it and registering it, then lights, horn, instruments...lots of hassle for a car thats LHD and not actually that different from your common or garden GTA Turbo. Who are polites that do the 1/4 window thingies??? Are they functional or just for show?

May be the Peugeot 406 coupe brembo caliper could fit... it is meant to be an easy conversion on the standard GTA hub, I think the mounting holes even match,( using the 280mmm clio discs.)

If the holes do line up (what do you know then rupert?) you may still have to space in or out the caliper. The original Pug discs have a 28mm hub height whereas the GTA is 41-44 depending on model (same as the 280mm clios) Without having the bits in my hands, its hard to know if the difference in height on the Pug was made on the hub carrier or on the caliper lugs themselves.
