Eldorado one?

Somebody should punch the big tube for doing something like that! Maybe not as bad as wrecking the E-Type, but not too far removed!

I've read his Born to be Riled book and he mentions it more than once as the best car of the (then) year.

L813 MDP????

You have good eyesight Lee!! Question is who is going to buy the DVD and see what it's all about (I'm too tight :D ). Also is DG emailing Mr Clarkson himself as we speak for the salvage rights

FYI The Alpine in question is shown at around 1:28 in the preview, blink and you will miss it:

Not good eyesight, only a pause button....
Even though it wasn't completely destroyed, I wouldn't like to have been driving. Shows that even the "substantially stronger than a GTA" A610, isn't that strong despite the extra 300kg of metal in the front.
Well 300Kg when new, a little less by now...

Anyone know who sold it to him?

Looks like it could have been the 2005 Donnington winning car- registration looks similar. Unfortunately only the thumbnail i left on this site, so I cannot be sure. It was for sale via Piston heads and CAR website earlier in the year ...shame it was low mileage and in really good condition.

Off to go out and get a life now!
