Greater majority as in Renault, and the numourous thousand GTA Turbos and 25 Turbos (well not any more as SM scrapped them) still running on original gaskets... :wink: :lol:

Yeah, both of them. Neither of which were anywhere close to being roadworthy.

Someone would have made them roadworthy. The ones I had were crashed and beyond repair, and weren't like the only two left :wink:

I'm sorry, I saw you driving the car whose engine is currently sitting on my bench... parted out (you said) because of a rusty A pillar. You must've crashed it too first, right? ;)

What was that about elephants...?

You could've had them if you were that keen to "rescue" them... so could anyone else... and I recently bought two 25t engines from Lee... where did they come from?

Sooo, predictable. I was baiting for you to bring that up :lol:

Well the Internal structure of my car was rotten and beyond repair, not just the pillar.

Luckily 25's have zinc plated bodies hence why you never see rusty ones. Ive had a fair few, and even if you damage the body, they don't rust. Any other faulty parts are circumstantial and can be replaced.

That a fact? Thought you scrapped it because you couldn't get it running right - and it turned out to be the fuel pump - AFTER you sold the pump to someone AND scrapped the car...

The engine is as fresh as a daisy.

Next....

Engine needs a rebuild, I think I would know. I used to own it. How would you know its 'fresh as a daisy', you just said its sitting on your bench. You said you only wanted for parts anyway.. :wink:

Please tell me who you think bought the pump, because I know who came down and took the pump off the shell, about 2 years after the car was dismantled.. :lol:

Why do you keep saying this?. It used to use oil, and the top end would knock on high loads, low rpm.

Knocking must have been a management issue, poor fuel pressure etc... at the time you said you couldn't get it to run under any kind of boost, so define "high loads"? The rear main was leaking like a seive as you yourself pointed out (BTW I can now supply double-lip rear main seals)

FWIW I can't fault you on your servicing, the thing was/is spotless inside.

Lol, no. Pulling away from a steep hill the cams would knock quite easily, that sort of load, I'm not talking about boost. but the oil pressure would fluctuate quite a bit so I suspected a worn oil pump. The reason its clean inside as I was constantly having to top it up with new oil. I didn't like running high boost as it would get a bit of blow by at 15psi, hence the oil usage.. and I ran two different turbo's on this engine. 11psi it made 218bhp.
