Just to add what I learned yesterday when I had my car 4 wheel aligned- these shims affect camber and tow in at the same time, mine needed the rear shim thickness reducing on one side to get it to line up- and this also brought the camber back into spec at the same time. You then need to get the front tow in set up to line up with it. I'm sure many of you know this, but it was a surprise to me.
Amazing how much better it feels now.

Dave ,I can make some up but you need to get it checked as Lee has done .The alignment dudes might have something that'll do the job for now if it needs more shims .I just got some snips to some 1mm sheet and made a handful to take with me .
I'm sure even Army stores can stretch to that :wink:

I've got to get mine checked again once it's back together as I'm back to standard wheels .That toyo rubber wont last long if it's wrong but it did Bruntingthorpe with no real signs of wear .

I think some people seem to be missing my posts :lol:

The reason why we have wear on one side more than the other is because we go round roundabouts in a certain direction. Ive had my cars aligned and they still wore one side more than the other, and hence my point when Tony Law and I checked alot of the FRENCH cars at Croix in France, they all had wear on the opposite tyre side. :wink:

You notice it even more so when your car is lowered, as it runs more camber, and you probably throw it round bends harder. :D

Did you go for 225-50-15 or 235-50-15 Toyos?

Well went off today and it appears that i have too many shims!!!!!

However they couldn't remove them because of the anti-roll bar and they didn't seem to want to get too involved removing things, still at least they didn't charge me. :D

Fronts were fine though, rears 2 deg off on Passenger side 1 off on drivers side.

That's a lot out ,it's less than 1 degree in total .Sure they didn't mean mm ? or has DG really slammed it Essex style .
You can either take the two bolts out to remove them or undo the clamps holding the bushes between the subframe and the roll bar .Release the AR bar bush clamps will prob be less hassle, rust wise .

They couldn't believe how "out" it was....

Anti roll bar is very close to the wishbone so maybe it is indeed DG's slammin' At least its all nice and senza rust after new wishbone/bushes et al.

Yep that would be right. Both sides inserted from the missionary position....

Mine is well low ..............
Won't make any difference how low it is ,the gap will be the same at that point .I put them in from the top .Shouldn't really matter ,they are hardly likely to drop out the other way round but it feels more secure :lol:
