The alternators fitted, what a twat to get to, just wondering if anyone as a in car volt meter fitted,Mines reading about 13.5V but when the charge cooler pump switched on it really drags ir down, think its reading around 13V with the pump running, lights and everything else doesnt make a big difference, maybe a couple of points at the most.
Just wondering if that sounds right :?

alternator puts out as a norm 14.5 volts then soon as you switch everything on it shouls loose a volt to 1.5 volts so that's about right, don't trust you in car instrument unless you've checked with a multi meter accross the battery contacts first

is it a chromed alternator? because that will give you more current than a normal one

Might be worth checking where the volt meter is connected to. It should be wired back to the battery both pos and neg wires, otherwise you will be reading a voltage with the effect of voltage drop which can be quite a lot if wired into the loom down streem from the battery to a high current consumption accessory, ie your charge cooler.
