Whats involved with moving the alternator on a T2

Any ideas what's involved with moving the alternator on the T2? as in the picture i.e. TDC camshaft? (is it a engine out job) alternator bracket(s), pullys etc :?

The alternator on my engine is in the standard T2 location I.e. buried at the back of the engine bay, the one in the pic which i think is Maxi Spec is where i want it (opp end of the engine). The reason why is EFI related and its really a must :( ill add a bit more to that as things progress hopfully :shock:

you can put it where you want..... as long as you have the space to mount it, cables that reach and a pully off the engine to drive it.....

Thats got me worried :( i was speaking to John Price the other day who reckons he can put a kit together i.e. TDC/Maxi cam (extended for the pully) pullys, bracket etc, its the maching bit u mention thats got me worried Mark :?:

EFI related :roll: The new inlet is vary similar to the one in the pic below, injectors./fueling in the optimum position (i hope) the standard alternator posistion is in a BAD/imposible position, so thats the reason for going to the TDC route re the posistion of the alt.

Talking of cams,Im sure? JP said he can supply a 240cv cam with the extension. Just looking on some of the french www's all i can see is 265CV upwards? Would a 265 be to wild for road use? with EFI

Its looking like i had my last drive in the T2 this year in early april :evil: Mucha work/stress/expence ahead by the looks of things :twisted: I suppose one benifit is the alternator will be easy to get at :wink:

Price of a TDC cam in france 700+ Euros :cry:
