Stuttering at cold

Postby jon_viola » Tue Apr 29, 2008 8:46 pm

My car has started stuttering when cold, at say the top 1/2" pedal travel, it hesitates then moves off fine if you press harder. Does anyone have any ideas why?

On a separate (or maybe connected) now i have my oil leak on the turbo fixed i notice that the turbo actuator rod seems to be in a slightly different place, could anyone tell me where it should go or how to test it's correctly positioned?

......will give you more or less boost depending on how its adjusted. Does the car have an air temp sensor could be faulty alsways check for good connections wiring etc, does it idle smoothly it could be idle speed control valve. You may have an air leak are all the right pipes on in the right places?

Not much help I know but its a start

If the turbo has been taken off or moved, was the chargecooler interupted or drained onto the plug leads?

My A610 has a similar problem. Feels like it's hesitating and holding back. Tell me when your car starts cutting out when hot too.
