Renault is in a different league to Lexus.
Lexus do not supply replacement bushes, just complete wishbones at £242 each. Oh yes, and of course I need to do both sides.
Bushes (or bushings as they are called stateside) are only 70 USD, about £39 a side.
Its gonna be hard work, but a no brainer.

Clee, inspected the cambelt 8 months ago and it was dry as a bone and as good as new so I left it in.

Thanks Martin, I'll be in touch later in the week. Just waiting for a wishbone price from Lexes-Texas (often half the UK price and so long as they ship out of state, there is less US tax too). This is the only sensible way to drive around in a fifty grand car....... which are only fifteen hundred quid bangers these days. Pure luxury motoring :D :D :D

It's just occurred to me that my friend in NJ who I was thinking of to play middle man, actually looks after his Dad's Lexus, so I'm sure he knows where the nearest dealer is. The easiest thing would be for me to pass on his details directly.
