Postby si21 » Tue Sep 23, 2008 12:42 pm

I have made some steady progression. She now starts on the turn of a key moves under her own steam, just got to bolt on bits left to do a few bits under the rear hatch, talking of rear hatches note to self!! Front and rear bumpers some lights and she'll be a whole car ..almost again

Watch this space!!

I have seen the light at the end of the tunnel 8)

PS it has been a couple of bleeding long tunnels I can tell you

Very exciting. Another sprint car takes to the black stuff ???
So, have you got an entry form in for Eelmor on the 5th or Lydden on the 28th?

I think race entries may be a little premature    I'll just be pleased to get it running and drivable for the minute.

Lydden looks a little unforgiving for somebody who has not driven rear wheel drive in ten years let alone a rear engined rear wheel drive in anger.

We will see but hopefully for next year I will have sorted myself out and will be able to do a some events next year. I am gutted I have not been able to do more this year, but hey there will always be next year eh

Not so much hammering ..........................

Postby si21 » Mon Oct 13, 2008 5:04 pm

...............................More like chainsaw action

With careful use of a Dremmel  and templates the rear bumper to the Atmo is now fitting, it still needs some trimming and some adjusting.
Front bumper fitted last weekend, does now mean the car is actually starting to look one, so one step closer

Thanks Mr Dell

si21(OK I know, chainsaw just sounds more fun)

Did not have time to snap away worked until quite late on Sunday night so it was a quick pack up and get away to get something to eat.

Hopefully rear bumper will be properly fitted during this week.

Curved pespex headlight glasses are in trial production as I write; my head of technical development (Dad) has just updated me, we will see what happens
