Rad Fans

Postby jon_viola » Tue Oct 21, 2008 7:35 pm

Hi,

Just bought a new rad fan to make a pair in my car thinking it would come with a cowling, surprise surprise it doesn't!!!!

Does anyone have either a twin cowling that i could add my pair to or another single on that would fit alongside?

Cheers

Jon

Cowling? Is it an original fan as I don't think they come with a cowling?

You need these .They push through the fins .I've used them on my rad fan and to secure the duct to the intercooler .

Looking at it the blades and following the arrow, i'd say she's a sucker! So yes that'll be ok against the rad. Anything i need to so to protect the fins?

Can i just wire both to the same power source so they come on together?

If it sucks you need to put it inboard/behind the rad .

My '89 GTA Turbo already had another connection plug for a second fan in place and wired in. I used a pair of R18 fans sucking, modifying the mounting frame they came with to suit the GTA. They work great and are quiet. I guess like here, there aren't very many R18s left in the UK to get them from anyway.
